Super Troopers 2 Misses the Magic

I unfortunately saw Super Troopers 2 today. This was a sequel that nobody wanted. I know everyone wanted a sequel to Super Troopers, but they wanted it to be actually good and funny. There were only three parts that were enjoyable, the opening scene, the "prank war" between the American and Canadian cops, and the bloopers at the end. Everything else was just fluff. Some of it made me smirk, but nothing made me laugh. I did like the running gag about "the Fred Savage incident" but the payoff was lackluster. It didn't have the feeling of the original and all of the characters were ramped up to a point that they were really funny anymore. There are only so many jokes you can make about how Canada says "sorry" differently and uses the metric system. It was only an hour and forty minutes, but it felt long. I give Super Troopers 2 0.5 km out of 1 mile (1.60934 km).
